AVOID ALCOHOL
Anyone who drinks alcohol regularly or in phases is not doing their skin any favours. Alcohol dehydrates the body. At the same time, the face, in particular, often appears bloated, dull and red after drinking too much alcohol. If you want to do something for beautiful facial skin, drink as little alcohol as possible.
Alcohol is toxic to the body and pure stress. Our tip: So that you don’t have to restrict yourself when you go out or have a beer after work, opt for an alcohol-free version. So-called virgin cocktails or mocktails are just as tasty but much better for the entire organism.
GET ENOUGH SLEEP
If you haven’t had enough sleep, you can usually see it in the mirror the following day. The skin is puffy and dry, and dark circles have formed under the eyes. Too little sleep can also lead to increased cortisol levels, increasing the risk of acne.
While we sleep at night, our body works at full speed. Cells are divided, minor injuries are repaired, inflammation is tackled, wrinkles are padded… everything is done to ensure that we are fit and optimised the following day again. Sufficient sleep is crucial, so the body has enough time for all its to-dos. You should make it easier for him with supportive skin care and night creams because beauty sleep is not a myth!
WHAT TO DO FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN? NOT TOO MUCH MAINTENANCE
The most common skin problem dermatologists see it is skin over-care. Too much cleansing, too much cream, too frequent showers, too aggressive agents – all of this becomes a problem for the skin in the long run. It can care for itself reasonably well and produce a protective film on the skin.
If we unbalance them, it can lead to dry skin, inflammation, rashes and itching. Be careful not to overdo it with skincare, and to be safe, use pH-neutral or pH-supporting products.
AVOID SMOKING
Smoking is taboo if you want your complexion to look healthy and stay youthfully fresh and firm for a long time. The nicotine constricts the vessels so that the oxygen transport in the body (and thus also to the skin) is reduced. The skin becomes pale, sometimes even grey and tends to wrinkle much earlier. The best anti-ageing is no cigarettes and no sun (see next point).
PROTECT FROM THE SUN
The sun has a dangerous radiance that primarily damages the skin. It has long been proven that UV rays not only accelerate skin ageing but can also cause skin cancer. Protect yourself by always wearing enough sunscreen – even in winter – and avoiding the blazing sun altogether.
We’ve already mentioned that cleansing and not over-conditioning are essential for the skin. But proper habits are also relevant. For example, you should do a gentle exfoliation (such as an enzyme peel ) about once a week.
Peeling removes dead skin cells, promotes blood circulation and ensures radiant skin. A mask is also recommended once a week as additional care for the facial skin. It conjures up a beautiful glow and an even complexion.
PROPER NUTRITION
You can not only do something for a healthy, radiant complexion from the outside but also from the inside. A healthy diet can contribute a lot to clear skin. Certain foods (vitamins A, C or E) are delicious. Eat a healthy diet and put the following foods on your shopping list:
- avocado
- nuts
- dark chocolate
- berry
- paprika
- lenses
- Fish
- green tea
In addition to food, you can also take dietary supplements. The tablets contain a concentrated load of essential ingredients. Best of all, they ensure not only beautiful skin but also beautiful hair and nails.
DO SPORTS
Anyone who does sport not only does something for their figure and overall health – physical exercise increases the heart rate, and the blood is pumped through the body faster. This also improves blood circulation in the skin and thus supplies it with oxygen. Anyone who regularly pulls together to exercise in the fresh air will quickly find that their complexion improves significantly.
